Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares

8/4/2007 By Michael

RamsayI caught an episode of Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares on BBC America and wanted more. I was able to find the first two seasons on bit-torrent. If you are an entrepreneur, this show is amazing. You get to watch Gordon Ramsay (three star Michelin rated chef), go into failing restaurants and attempt to save them. As a viewer, some things seem so obvious, but as someone who has run businesses you can appreciate how sometimes you might be too close to the trees to see that the forest is burning down around you . Whether your are a foodie or just a business person, this is a great show. I expect it has probably been pitched a few times in Hollywood by now and hopefully will get a worthwhile North American equivalent. Some of the best TV I have seen. You also get to hear the proper use of “Gobsmacked!” and “Bollix!”

I agree, great show. I’ve been watching it for a couple of years now. I understand that Gordon Ramsay is doing an American version for Fox this fall.

This show is great, if you look around you can find every episode to download. Kitchen Nightmares USA will premiere September 19 on FOX, I blogged about it here http://www.foodtvblog.com/2007/08/11/update-kitchen-nightmares-usa-first-airdate-changed/

Very interesting, indeed. Have watched several episodes of “Kitchen Nightmares” and found them all to be very fascinating. But here, in the U.S., all we are getting are repeat after repeat. Pretty boring now. Must be hiatus or something.

    Hopefully new and fresh season!

[…] I have posted before about how I enjoy the BBC program, Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares. Now that there is (predictably) a US version, I was pleased to discover that you can view the new shows online at Fox. No cost and no pain in the ass hurdles to jump through. Free programs, sure they show ads, but it is usually one ad per “slot” which means the whole show goes much quicker and is consumable anytime the week it shows on your computer. Is this the future? Is Paul Colligan and his Year of living Digitally listening? This week’s show was the one that resulted in a lawsuit. Great stuff! […]
