Gene Simmons: Rock God and Entrepreneur

GeneMy Entrepreneur group has invited Gene Simmons to be our speaker on Wednesday night. Sure, I have seen him spit blood and fire on stage before (haven’t we all…), but I am looking forward to hearing the marketing story behind KISS and his other entertainment marketing projects. Should be fun!

I remember hearing his appearances on the Howard Stern Show when he was still on WXRK in NYC. Howard would make fun of him and all his marketing speak. But, if you listened closely enough you could tell the guy and locked onto an idea that made sure he got the full value out of his fame and the band’s fame. He fully understands the definition of the word “BRAND”.

That would be a interesting evening of stories and deals .

Ive just returned from Myrtle Beach , where a Kiss Coffee House is alive and well . It has authentic memorabilia and quite a selection of KISS wear . I didnt try the coffee ,sadly.

You cant miss this the KISS storefront located at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach . A 30 ft Steam Blowing Reptile Boot is in front of the coffeehouse. The Kiss Coffee House seems to be a hit .

Watchout Starbucks ,, Genes coming to get ya .
