“Hey Nick, want to learn how to tie a shoe?” Response: “Why? Mommy does it for me; that would be a waste of time.” Genius and absurdity all wrapped up in one.

    So true - it works for 15 year olds (and come to think of it some 25 year olds these days!)

    I like Nick’s logic. You’ve got to listen to the This American Life (www.thislife.org) from last week titled Kid Logic.

    In a way it reminds me of entrepreneurs logic. Dropping out of Harvard to start a software business when everyone knows all the money’s in hardware? You’ve got to be crazy.
