No way Holmes is on Go211. That dude totally rules. I heard he's makin a come back after jail. What a BAMF. He pretty much invented skateboarding. The Rocket Air is like one of my favorite tricks. Dude I've got an original Hosoi hammerhead that my brother gave me when I was a kid. That thing is awesome. I just checked out Go211 that site is sick. Some of the videos and pics are pretty awesome.

Hosoi was a god. I remember seeing him in almost every issue of Thrasher. It is great to see that in his case, everything has come full circle and he has his life in order. Heck, apparently he lives two cities up. I am an in Newport Beach and he is in Huntington Beach. I still need to grab a classic Hosoi deck which they are producing again. Meanwhile, I am trying to get my Lance Mountain w/bonite back from my brother-in-law whom I "loaned" it to 10 years ago.

Finally Hosoi is getting his full recognition these days for the influence and growth he added to the sport! He's back full force, running Hosoi skates, and working with a new action sports website: www.go211.com Where you can actually friend him and message him and a bunch of other great pros! I was pumped to upload my own skate vids and have them on the same site as Hosoi, he is a god! Check out www.go211.com if you haven't already, its all free!

[...] Well for the record friend, I am in fact NOT a skateboarder. I don’t own a skateboard, although I did when I was 10. But while we’re on the subject of skateboards and podcasting, my pal Michael Geoghegan from Gigavox is into skateboards. [...]

Stoked was great. I still need to see the Hosoi doc though.
Don't forget to check out "Lords of Dogtown". Although its not a doc, it's a very well done coming of age drama.

I'm a big fan of Dogtown and the Z Boys, it is a good starting place and provides a great backdrop on the whole birth of skateboarding. These two pick it up from there and each focus on the rise and fall of a single skateboarder.
