I second that assessment. I also have Cingular services as back up, but I’m very happy with EVDO. I do highly recommend picking up PC Card Antenna Adapter so you can use either a window mount or roof mount kit for better coverage while mobile in a car. Also the Junxion box is a nice extra if you want to share your EVDO or Cingular broadband with others (either WIFI or wired). – Steve
I agree, EVDO is addictive. I posted a recent episode of my podcast using a new EVDO card. The bad news was that a 15Mb mp3 file took 2 hours to upload. The good news was that I was driving 65 MPH up highway 101 at the time and it managed to keep a connection to my corporate VPN the whole time.
