What is Reel Reviews?
Reel Reviews is a film-oriented podcast. Having
started at the beginning of the podcast phenomenon, I have grown a
large and dedicated audience of film enthusiasts who enjoy receiving
thoughtful comment on films available on DVD.
One or two podcasts are produced on a weekly basis. These consist
of the regular Reel
Reviews – a podcast running roughly 10 minutes,
oriented towards encouraging listeners to check out quality films they
may
have missed or those worthy of a second viewing. My goal is to arm the listener
with a good list of films "to see" for the next visit to their
video store or online service.
The second podcast is the Cinephile
Series - which run 30 plus minutes
in length, and take a more in-depth and scholarly look at a given film. Recent
examples include Memento, Mulholland
Drive and Apocalypse Now.

How are the reviews done?
I have been a life long film fanatic. The reviews in the podcast are my personal thoughts on the films being featured. I also integrate questions and comments from listeners via an audio comment line at (206) 888-BLOG. The reviews are conducted in my home theater and are pulled from my collection of movies on DVD. For those that are interested, here are some links:

to do:
1. Download iPodder or iPodderX.

What is podcasting?
Podcasting is a new technology allowing a listener to “subscribe” to
audio shows on the Internet that he or she wishes to receive. Just like
radio, the shows are received free of charge. Using a podcasting client
such as iPodder or iPodderX users
will receive new shows as they are published. The magic
of podcasting is that the shows are automatically retrieved. Systems can
easily be configured to automatically transfer the podcasts to the mp3 player
of your
choice, burn them to CD or play them directly on your computer, phone or
mobile device. Podcasting puts the listener in charge of deciding when, where
and
how they are going to listen to the show. Podcasting is the future of mobile
audio
content delivery. More information on Podcasting can be found here.
